We've had about 5-6 weeks worth of spelling words and I want students to have an opportunity to review all of these words so this week we are having a mystery spelling test (Affectionately named by Phoenix.) This test will assess students on the spelling words they've had since September. I will randomly select 2-3 words from each week and compile a list of 16 words to use for the spelling test on Friday.
What does this mean?
Your child should study the words from the past few weeks.
Practice the words that they've spelled incorrectly on their spelling tests.
Review spelling patterns and spelling focus for each week.
What About Their Spelling Sentences?
Each child individually selected 16 words from the past few weeks that they want to work on. This list went home today. [Check the Green Folder]
Your child should use these words for their sentences this week.
REMEMBER:
The spelling test words will be randomly generated for each group.
