Vocabulary/Spelling
Students will be tested on the words next Wednesday. Please review the words, and challenge your child to use them in conversation. Our spelling focus is on our sight words. These words are expected to be spelled correctly in their writing.
Unit of Study- This week we will look at how chocolate is made and learn about the process of the Tree- To Factory model. Students will also learn about various cultures who relied heavily on natural resources to help them to survive.
Science: Investigation (Getting To Know Wood) Wood & Water Investigation
Readers Workshop: This week we are flushing out our reading centers. We are also starting our new unit entitled Enhancing Comprehension Strategies Through Series Books.

- Authors make a final copy of their story and ensure that it has no errors.
- Illustrators draw pictures to bring the story to life.
- Authors have an about me section on their story.
- Authors get ready to share their story with a live audience.
